Mrs Lesley Colquhoun our associate nurse partner specialises in Family planning and contraception and offers daily appointments for patients who have minor illnesses such as an earache, sore throats, chest infections, urinary tract infections, diarrhoea and vomiting and rashes. Our nurse practitioner is an important member of the practice team taking on some of the more routine tasks that used to be done by a doctor.
She is highly competent and has undertaken specific minor illness training. The nurse practitioner follows practice guidelines and will always refer you to a GP if you or they are concerned.
As well as performing minor illness our nurse practitioner provides various services which include:- Respiratory monitoring, Chronic disease monitoring and HRT monitoring. She also provides family planning/contraception advice including contraceptive implants.
